Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Klyp is published by Lynxion. For any question regarding your personal data, contact contact@lynxion.fr.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email, password (encrypted), or your Google/Apple identifier if you use those sign-in methods.
• Third-party platform connection data: when you authorize Klyp via OAuth (YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn) or via a bot (Discord, Telegram), we receive an access token that lets us publish on your behalf, along with public information about your account (channel/profile/server/channel name, identifier, public statistics such as subscriber count).
• Statistics history: we record one daily data point (subscriber/view count) per connected account, to show you a trend chart in the app.
• Content you upload: videos, titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails you provide for publishing or clipping, as well as the audio transcript generated (Whisper) for subtitles and captions.
• Videos analyzed via sharing: if you use the "Analyze with Klyp" feature on another creator's video (from TikTok/YouTube/Instagram), we only retrieve that video's public metadata (title, author, thumbnail) — never its content or file — to generate the analysis.
• Notifications: if you enable notifications, a device token (APNs) is stored to send you alerts (result of a scheduled publication, reminders).
• Payment data: fully managed by Stripe; we never store your card number.
• Technical data: server logs necessary for the operation and security of the Service.

We never collect your passwords for third-party platforms: authorization goes exclusively through their official OAuth system. Some data (drafts, favorite hashtags) is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers.

3. Use of data

The data collected is used exclusively to:

• publish or cut the content you submit on the platforms you have connected;
• generate suggested captions/titles/hashtags/content ideas via an artificial intelligence service (Mistral AI);
• display the status of your connections, statistics, and subscription in the app;
• send you notifications you have explicitly enabled;
• ensure the proper functioning and security of the Service;
• display an aggregated, anonymized figure (total cumulative subscriber count across all users) on our public homepage, as proof of the Service's usage — this figure does not allow anyone to identify your account, your connected accounts, or your individual statistics.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Data retention

Access tokens are kept until you disconnect your account in Klyp or revoke access from the third-party platform. Imported videos are deleted from our servers once the publication or clipping has been performed (or immediately after sending, for a scheduled publication). Statistics history is kept as long as the account remains connected, and is deleted along with it.

5. Sharing with third parties

Your content is transmitted only to the platforms/destinations you explicitly choose to connect (YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram, Snapchat), through their official APIs, as well as to our technical service providers: Stripe (payments, United States), Resend (emails, United States), Mistral AI (text generation, France), Apple (push notifications), solely for the purpose of providing the Service. As Stripe and Resend are located outside the European Union, this transfer is governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which these providers apply as part of their own GDPR compliance commitments.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, port, and object to the processing of your data. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting us at contact@lynxion.fr, or by directly revoking access from your Klyp account or from the relevant third-party platform. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.

6bis. Minimum age

Klyp is not intended for individuals under 15 years of age without the consent of their legal guardian, in accordance with French law on digital adulthood. If you are under 15, use of the Service must be authorized by a parent or guardian, who may contact us at contact@lynxion.fr with any question regarding their child's data.

7. Use of Google / YouTube data

Klyp uses Google APIs (YouTube Data API v3) in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Data collected via Google OAuth: when you connect your YouTube account, we receive an OAuth access token as well as public information about your channel (identifier, name, subscriber count). No Google password is ever transmitted to Klyp.

Use: Google data is used exclusively to (a) publish videos to your YouTube channel on your behalf, and (b) display your channel statistics in the app. It is never used for advertising, profiling, data sale, or to train artificial intelligence models.

Sharing: Google data is not transmitted to any third party beyond what is strictly necessary for the Service to function (hosting on our dedicated VPS). In particular, it is never sent to Mistral AI or to any other AI provider.

Retention and deletion: the Google OAuth token is deleted as soon as you disconnect your YouTube account from Klyp, or as soon as you revoke access from your Google account (myaccount.google.com/permissions). You may also request complete deletion of your data by contacting us at contact@lynxion.fr.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access: encrypted passwords (bcrypt), signed session tokens (JWT), encrypted HTTPS connections (TLS), server access restricted by SSH key, and OAuth tokens stored in isolation per user on our infrastructure.

This policy may be updated. The version in effect is the one published on this page.
